Ogunyemi, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Dept. of Preventive and Social Medicine at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science (CDU) and Director of CDU's Center for Biomedical Informatics. She currently leads an NLM-funded study that applies machine learning to clinical records to identify diabetic patients who have latent/undiagnosed diabetic retinopathy.  Her short stories are published in various literary magazines.
