Guests were David Barron, Houston Area Coordinator and Director of the Texas Carpenters and Millwrights Houston Training Center, and Maria Robles, chairwoman of the Council’s Sister in the Brotherhood Program, and Council representative of the Central South Carpenter’s regional Council. We talked about the Carpenter’s and Millwright’s Houston Training Center, and the value of the apprenticeship program. We talked about the value of earning while learning, a career vs a job, the earning possibility of skilled labor, and the need for qualified men, women and veterans to fill the skill gap.
