On For Your Information this week, my guest is Jim Carson, Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the non-profit Greater Cleveland Chamber of Commerce (GCCoC), who spoke to listeners about the Chamber services and activities, in particular major activities happening through October including: a free Aug. 23 class to introduce people/businesses to what the GCCoC does for individuals, businesses and the community titled “Chamber 101”; a few days later, Aug. 26-27, the annual Cleveland Outdoor Expo, now with free admission, which combines a major gun show with all kinds of outdoor-related items, information, and activities such as boats, RVs, hunting leases, ATVs, outdoor outfitting (knives, equipment, clothing, food,), and fun areas for the kids with a rock-climbing wall, ranges for archery and BB-gun marksmanship, as well as a small animal wildlife area; then Sept. 13, the Small Business Association presents Dr. Paul Withey teaching things all business people need to know; and rounding out this busy period, The Cleveland MusicFest, an all-day (ends midnight Oct. 21) with a mix of featured bands including Rock, Gospel, Country, Jazz, Tejano, Zydeco and much more. There will be adult beverages, food trucks, vendors and lots of kid’s events.
