On For Your Information this week, my guest is Mike Legouds, Jr., Assistant Fire Chief for the Conroe Fire Department who told listeners of the full-time paid Department as well as explaining the types of equipment they have, the kind of events to which they respond, and the number of fire stations. He spoke of Station 7, the department’s newest station, and when it is expected to come on line. Legouds talked about the need to respond quickly, especially in cases such as a trench collapsing burying someone; hazardous chemical spills; and multi-structure fires. He related to listeners CFD also has fire and rescue boats on Lake Conroe.
