Guests were Connie Chavez, Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council VP of Communications America Cadena, a Cadette who has been a “top Seller” and a girl scout for 7 years. We talked about how through their cookie business, girls learn business and financial skills and earn money to fund their Girl Scouting goals. Through “learning by earning,” Girl Scouting aims to empower girls through the development of five essential skills: goal setting, money management, people skills, decision making, and business ethics.
