Guests were Michelle Hoevker, Program Director of Foster Care and Adoption in Houston, and Lisa Johnson, Development Officer for Houston Region, with Presbyterian Children’s Homes and Services. PCHS. We talked the three types of adoption, the language people use to discuss adoption, children aging out of foster care, and community services that preserve families. We talked about the need and qualifications of foster families, helping children with health and mental health issues, and early-intervention education and financial programs to prevent child abuse and preserve families.
