We talked about Crime stoppers new Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) Task Force to stop mass shootings and other violent attacks before they happen. We talked about where terrorism comes from, and the challenge for law enforcement to identify and investigate extremism and violent acts before they happen. We talked about how the creation of a task force using law enforcement, as well as community-based elements such as schools, parents, mental health organizations and the religious community, to help identify potential threats, and intervene before violence happens.
