Ford designs SupportBelt for breast cancer patient comfort

from Techstination · host Fred Fishkin

Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear. I’m Fred Fishkin. For many people who have dealt with breast cancer surgery, the pain from wearing a seatbelt has made riding in cars difficult. Ford is doing something about that with the development of the SupportBelt…designed for Ford vehicles…and is being offered for free. Accessibility Design Manager Emily Obert says.. “The way it works is you go to www.Ford.com/supportbelt . You can see more information about the product there and there is also a link to where you can pre-order it. We’re hoping we can bring just a little more comfort to help people get back in their vehicles and achieve all the things, all their goals that don’t stop just because you’ve been diagnosed with breast cancer.” Ford is seeking a patent but plans to share the information with other automakers to assist their customers as well. You can find us at Techstination.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
