Ford Slams Trump Over Trade War | US News

Ontario Premier Doug Ford is slamming President Trump for treating Canada like China — despite their close ties — as U.S. tariffs on $20 billion in Canadian goods hit 50%, up from 2025 levels. The feud has escalated with Trump calling Ford “unimpressive” and a “flunky,” prompting Ford’s fiery retorts, including calling Trump a “dictator” and joking he’d “kiss his rear end.” Trump even threatened to rename Lake Ontario — a comment Ford laughed off, insisting it will always be Lake Ontario. Prime Minister Mark Carney warns the U.S. demands target core Canadian industries like auto and steel. Ford calls the tariffs an unprovoked attack, stressing that targeting your top customer is bad business — and warns that this path will hurt both nations. He urges Trump to focus on allies, not adversaries, or risk mutual pain. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
