https://3speak.tv/watch?v=literal/gyppgsmx Hello here again. Today, I'm here to share another short video with you about this craft that I'm getting the hang of. It is a very old technique, and it is known as "Fore-edge painting " or painting on the edge of books. Which is nothing more than a scene, drawing or decoration painted on the edge of a book. The oldest known paintings of this type date back to the 10th century and are nothing more than symbolic designs that are supposed to identify or differentiate one book from another. However, it was not until the 18th and 19th centuries that it became quite popular. Today it is becoming a trend in the world again. Many publishers are making decorated copies to make them more eye-catching. There are also many incredibly talented people doing this work by hand, as it was done in ancient times. And that is precisely what I show you today in this "making off" video, the step by step process of this copy I made, very simple, but beautiful and that I enjoyed very much. I hope you also like the result. If you want to know more about this technique and how many beautiful things can be done, leave me a comment to let me know that you read me, so I can make a post explaining in detail the history of this technique so you can enjoy this beautiful art.
