Foreign Body

Gideon tells the story of Edith Thompson, a girl who reappears in her hometown after having been missing for months. Edith struggles with her memories of her time away and becomes uncomfortable in her own skin. Her paranoia escalates when everyone in the town, her friend Jess, and even her parents, start acting strangely. Meanwhile, Gideon is also feeling a strange disconnection and grapples with her own feelings of insignificance and being forgotten. Shoe Bones is a collective story podcast recorded in a homemade studio (a desk, mic, and a whole lot of patience for absolute silence from old house pipes and Baltimore firetruck sirens). I’d like to thank all of my friends who helped make this podcast what it is, as well as my dog for not barking during recordings.
