A Leitrim Councillor has accused the Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine of engaging in reckless and ludicrous behaviour with forestry policies that are threatening the welfare of people living in many parts of Leitrim.The remarks from Councillor Justin Warnock were made after he tabled a motion calling for vulnerable wooded areas that are at risk of falling on public roads to be addressed.The Kinlough-based Councillor says the safety of council staff should not be put in danger by having clean up the mess caused by falling trees after storms.The Fianna Fáil councillor says it’s time for Minister Michael Healy Rae to wake up.
