Forget the "HOW", Find Your "WHO"

from Purpose, Passion, Profit Hosted by Ken Eash

Join the NEXTLevel Mastermind for men. Last week was disrupted due to a family death. I was all set for the Self Reliance Festival in Camden, Tennessee, when I learned about my wife's grandmother passing away. This cause us to miss a slight beat here on the podcast. But rest assured, we'll catch up with an additional episode this Saturday. Today's topic is a powerful one – the concept of "Who Not How," a principle discussed in my men's mastermind group and one that was beautifully illustrated at a recent virtual event I helped facilitate. It's all about shifting focus from the overwhelming question of "How?" to the empowering inquiry of "Who?" can help us navigate through tough times — pointing to faith, community, and the importance of having the right people around to turn impossibilities into realities.

Last week, I found myself in a slight dilemma as I missed an episode on a day that wasn't divisible by five, which disrupted my usual rhythm of producing five episodes a week. The reason for this anomaly was a sudden family emergency involving the passing of my wife's grandmother, which required me to drop everything, pack up, and make an eight-hour round trip back home. This led to me missing an episode, which I aim to catch up on promptly. During this time, I had the opportunity to participate in a virtual event that resonated deeply with me. The event focused on the notion of "who, not how," emphasizing the idea of leaning on faith and trust in finding solutions when faced with uncertainties. The stories shared during the event highlighted the power of relying on a higher power and surrounding oneself with supportive individuals to navigate through life's challenges. Reflecting on this concept, it prompted me to encourage listeners to identify moments in their own lives where they may be unsure of the "how" and consider seeking out the "who" – whether it be faith, trusted individuals, or a supportive community. By relinquishing the need to have all the answers and embracing the support of others, remarkable outcomes and profound transformations can unfold. Ultimately, the takeaway from this experience is the importance of not only turning to one's faith in times of uncertainty but also building a network of support that serves as a guiding force in overcoming obstacles and achieving goals. By recognizing the power of the collective "who," individuals can navigate life's complexities with resilience, faith, and a sense of shared purpose.
