FORGIVE

from Good News Daily · host Uebert and Beverly Angel

Luke 6:37 (KJV) Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven.  Remember when Peter denied knowing the Lord Jesus after His arrest? To others, Peter should have been written off, not worthy to be called an apostle; but not with Jesus! He appeared to the disciples after His resurrection and reinstated Peter. He asked Peter three times, “Do you love Me?” To Peter’s affirmative responses, Jesus said, “Feed My sheep” (John 21:15-18). Notice, Jesus didn’t say, “Peter, you thought I’d forget what you did, hey? You’re such a disappointment! After all the miracles you saw with Me and all your bragging that you’d follow Me till the end, you still denied Me. You will regret what you did. How can I even trust you going forward?” No, He didn’t take Peter’s error into account. My, my, my, this is our Master’s love! What would you do to someone who hurt you this bad? Would you take no account of it like Jesus did? Some of you do forgive, but you’re mean after you forgive. You still want the person to feel your wrath. That’s not forgiveness. It’s time to contemplate. Forgive before we cross into a new year. Send that message, make that call, pay that visit – forgive! PROPHETIC DECLARATION  I thank God for not condemning me and forgiving me. The same forgiveness I’ve received, I also forgive others right now. Praise God, Amen.  FURTHER STUDY  Ephesians 4:32
