Forgiveness

Matthew 6:12 It’s clear that one of the things that is definitely at the top of the list of what God wants from us is to be forgiving. Let’s face it, whether it's a spouse who was unfaithful, a parent who let you down as a child, a friend who shared something told in confidence, or some other harm, we all at one time or another must deal with whether or not we are going to forgive. If we are the Lord's we have no choice in the matter of whether we will forgive or not forgive. We forgive for two reasons: First, because the Lord has emphatically told us to do it; Secondly, because it is best for us . These 2 go hand in hand because they’re tied to our faith. Many have a hard time forgiving because they don’t really know what forgiveness is.
