FORGIVENESS

Have you ever hurt somebody in your life? I have. A poor boy had played a messed up game with me and I couldn’t help myself. I felt so abandoned and lost and decided to do something really stupid. Not because I’m a bad person, but because I was hurting and needed someone to hear me and to care. I was not proud of what I did and carried that burden with me for a year, until something beautiful happened that truly changed my life. I was forgiven by the person I had hurt. Not only did I feel the sweet relief of the weight coming off my shoulders, it also allowed me to forgive all people that ever hurt me. I was able to let go of the past, of things I cannot change, to be patient with myself and others and accept that mistakes are so very human.
