A gift we need to give to ourselves? ‘Love your neighbour as yourself’ is considered as the royal law in the New Testament. In that one little statement is the expectation that of course I would love myself since I’m created in God’s image. But for some, when it comes to forgiveness, the thought of forgiving oneself seems somehow, not right. That we are not worthy of forgiveness. Not worthy of love.
