Forgiveness, Resolution, Reconciliation & Restoration - Part Four

from Messianic Torah Observant Israel · host Steve Berkson

“What has been resolved has to be released.” In this the final episode of Forgiveness, Resolution, Reconciliation & Restoration, Rabbi Steve Berkson gives a more detailed review of everything that’s been taught up to this point. He then moves into consequences incurred and consequences removed. What’s the beauty of our relationship with our Creator? Rabbi Berkson takes us to 2 Chronicles 7:13-14 to find out. There we find the very well-known verse that starts with, “If my people who are called by my name…” In this passage we see all the processes of forgiveness, resolution, reconciliation and restoration.Does forgiveness necessarily remove consequences? What is it that the Creator is wanting from us as He forgives us? Who does he do all this for?Why should you be Torah-Observant? Because the path, the instructions for coming into right relationship with your Creator was given to Moshe (Moses), as the psalmist King David wrote in Psalm 103. If you have the proper fear or respect of Yah and His awesomeness, you will be given the desire to want a right relationship, aka, The Covenant, with Him. (see Deuteronomy 10:12-13)What does it mean to “pass over the transgression”? What is the Father’s approach to forgiveness that we should have? (Micah 7:18)In Jeremiah 31:31, with whom is the “new covenant” made? Has He rejected one group to accept another group? Has this prophecy already happened? When you accept and act on the forgiveness provided you through what Messiah Yeshua did, does this absolve you of sin past, present and future? Why? Why not?Finishing this teaching in the letter to the Colossians, Rabbi Berkson points out words such as expectation, worthy, fit… what do these crucial words have to do with the reward promised to us? Along with those words there are other words such as fruitful, empowered, delivered, redemption. Torah Comes to Life | Rabbi Nir Menussi Nir Menussi Jewish Psychology, Philosophy, and Spirituality with Rabbi Nir Menussi MJ Next Drake Dunaway & David Cook Messianic Judaism Next, or MJ Next, is a podcast founded to ignite candid and long-overdue conversations confronting current issues within Messianic Judaism, bringing it closer to a traditional, sustainable, and grown-up religion. We take the legitimacy of Torah and Messiah as givens well past re-litigation. Instead, we call for a Messianic Jewish Revolution that starts from the template of Judaism – complete with its collective wisdom, tradition, scholarship, lifecycles, and rabbinic pedigree – accepting Yeshua as the Messiah and the legitimacy of the New Covenant writings sans the filter of Christian dogma. We will tackle wide-ranging contemporary topics through uncompromising honesty and humor, serving up a crass, unorthodox style in service of an Orthodox Messianic Judaism. You can find us at https://www.mjnext.fm.We welcome and encourage your feedback. Ani Judaism International (Formerly Lapid Judaism International) Christopher Fredrickson The North American Rebbe for Ani Judaism International discusses topics related to the Torah and the Messiah Yeshua from a Hasidic point of view, Rav Chaim Soloveitchik - Chidushei HaRambam JewishPodcasts.org Rav Chaim Solovetichik was one of the greatest Talmudic commentators of all time. His works are studied in-depth in all yeshivot today and he is widely considered the father of modern Talmudic analysis. The only work he wrote was his chiddushim (insights) on the Rambam's halachic rulings, which is considered a classic of Talmudic analysis. But the complexity of the material and the analysis make it difficult for many to study. These audio presentations of his writings by Rabbi Elisha Friedman are intended to help make his Torah insights more accessible.
