A sense of forgottenness would be a problem for you at that moment. If we wonder how hard-wired this fear is, consider how hard we try to be noticed, to be liked, to be popular, and how much we make of celebrities that seem to be remembered everywhere by everyone. Joseph was forgotten, and so were many others on salvation’s storied path through Scripture. What is God doing through it?
