Formed in Time | Week 2

from AGC Classroom · host Ankeny Gospel Church

The Easter Cycle. Most of us love to celebrate the holidays of Christmas and Easter, but did you know Christians have observed six distinct seasons for spiritual formation? Have you ever wondered about the origins of Lent or Advent? Are you intrigued by Ash Wednesday but unsure about its biblical grounding? In this five week class, we will explore the concept of time, especially as it has been marked by Christian for millennia–through use of the Church Calendar. Additionally, we will explore practical ways for families to intentionally center our lives around the life and teaching of our Lord, along with a look at the theological meaning and history of Christmas, Easter, and other Christian seasons.
