Former Fauci Advisor Pleads Guilty | US News

A former top advisor to Dr. Fauci, 78-year-old David Morens, just pleaded guilty to conspiring to hide communications and illegally accept gifts in a bid to protect coronavirus research grants and push the lab-leak theory off the table—using his personal Gmail account to evade FOIA requests and even agreeing to write a pro-natural-origin paper in exchange for wine and future meals. His plea has ignited fresh scrutiny from Senator Rand Paul and reignited debates over pandemic transparency, even as Fauci denies any wrongdoing. Morens now faces up to five years in prison.
