Former LEO is putting his money where his mouth is!

from Steel City Round Table Podcast · host Mark Kneebone

In this episode I sit down with a former LEO Joe Swanson. Joe served as an LEO in California for 8 years before leaving the field. He now dedicates his efforts to helping LEO's deal with stress and the daily struggles of doing the job. Joe created The Tactical Resilience Training system. Joe formulated this system as a way to train officers to handle the day to day stresses and return to their baseline mindset while on and off duty. Everything that occurs in a shift directly affects an officers mental health and effectiveness. Joe teaches agencies and individuals alike how to return to their baseline while dealing with the stresses they face. Joe sat down with me to discuss his program, law enforcement, and the real world realities of doing this job. This a great conversation and I think you are on to something Joe. This is a great episode for those of you currently serving as an LEO. Thanks again Joe Swanson for your time and dedication to helping others!TakeawaysTactical resilience tools are essential for officers.Experience and passion drive effective teaching.Weak leadership is a major issue in policing.Everyday carry (EDC) tools are crucial for officers.Peer check-ins are part of the baseline recovery stack.Sharing stories and experiences helps others.Leadership must be taken seriously and integrated into daily routines.Synchronicities in conversations can lead to valuable insights.Helping others is a continuous process.Sharing experiences is a key part of resilience.
