Former Mayor’s 4,300km Hike for Kids | Calgary News

Former Calgary mayor Jeromy Farkas turned personal loss into a global adventure—hiking 4,300 km from Mexico to Canada in 172 days, raising over $200K for Big Brothers Big Sisters. Inspired by his late grandmother and fueled by resilience, he crossed deserts, mountains, and wildfire zones, meeting strangers whose kindness kept him going. Now, his journey is captured in the one-night documentary screening “From the Trail to the Chamber” on Sept. 16 at Canyon Meadows Cinema—with all ticket proceeds ($40 each) going back to the cause. It’s a wild, heartfelt story of redemption, endurance, and giving back. Listen in comfort: Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
