Former News Anchor Pleads Guilty to Mother's Murder | St. Louis News

Angelynn Mock, former FOX 2 News anchor and daughter of murder victim Anita Avers, has pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the stabbing death of her 80-year-old mother on Halloween. Mock waived her right to a trial, admitting guilt after being deemed mentally fit to stand trial again in July following earlier incompetence rulings. The shocking case also included disturbing claims she believed her mother was the devil. Sentencing is set for October 5th, with a potential sentence of 25 years to life.
