Former Prince Andrew and Epstein Files: Calls Grow for UK Police Investigation

from The Royal Tea

Andrew-Mountbatten Windsor is facing fresh scrutiny after the latest Epstein file revelations, with new allegations about the ex- Duke of York intensifying calls for a UK police investigation.Julia Hartley-Brewer speaks to former Head of Royal Protection Dai Davies on Talk about why the former prince has never been interviewed by police and whether that position is still tenable.Davies says Prince Andrew “needs investigating by a police service with the courage to go where the evidence takes them”, adding “if you and I had done a fraction of this, we would have had a knock on the door”. He repeats that he has been raising the issue for years and that, where credible evidence exists, the ex-Duke of York should be “questioned under caution like anyone else”.He argues “people have known about these allegations for a decade and nothing was done”, calling for scrutiny across government, the Foreign Office and security bodies. In a stark verdict on the Andrew-Epstein scandal, Davies says “something rotten is in our establishment”, describes the former duke as “a serially bad man, in my humble opinion”, and calls it “the biggest scandal I can remember in my lifetime”.Andrew-Mountbatten Windsor has strongly denied any wrongdoing in his association with Jeffrey Epstein.
