Growing up in South Carolina, Chris had to navigate the murder of his mother and help raise his brother and sister while trying to continue to follow his dream. Since he retired, he published his book, Different: A Story About Loving Your Neighbor to honor his late mother, Sharonda Coleman-Singleton.
