Fostering Change Podcast: Harvey Gallagher- Campaigning for youth in foster care and foster agencies
from Fostering Change · host Rob Scheer
In this week’s episode of Fostering Change, Rob Scheer talks with Harvey Gallagher, Chief Executive, Nationwide Association of Fostering . Harvey began his career volunteering to support disadvantaged children. He has worked for local authorities and national charities in the UK. He holds an MBA, is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, charity trustee, volunteer and chair of school governors. He comes from a care-experienced family, is a father of five, grandfather, runner, cyclist, vegan and Newcastle United supporter! Story Key Notes: 🖐️ Foster care works really well for most children most of the time 🖐️ Administrative chaos in the care system leading to children feeling they don’t have a voice 🖐️ Too few options to find the right foster career for each child - a lack of ‘sufficiency’ and too little time You can find out more about Harvey by visiting: Website: www.nafp.org.uk Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/theNAFP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thenafp/ Twitter:https://twitter.com/theNAFP Linkedin:https://www.linkedin.com/company/nationwide-association-of-fosteringproviders/ Learn more at https://www.comfortcases.org/ 🎥 Watch the full video episodes on YouTube!
