Tracy is a Boston-based entrepreneur, educator, and advocate for health equity & food access. Forever committed to service, Tracy started her career in education with Teach for America before getting her Masters in Education at Harvard and jumping into the private sector with Ellevation Education. After helping them get acquired, she joined Amazon as an “intrapraneur,” expanding online grocery shopping access to low-income communities. But once she became a Mother, Tracy – whose parents are from Panama by way of the West Indies by way of Africa – realized that the ready-made food options for her child did not include the bold flavors and diverse ingredients of her own heritage. She started experimenting with recipes and engaging with community members about the importance of nutrition, and soon Little Cocoa Bean Co. was born, on a mission to provide families with access to vital information, supplies, and services during their child’s first 1,000 days of life. Currently in Jamaica Plain, they are opening a new prominent location in the Boston Children’s Museum!
