Katreena Scott, PhD, Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Psychology and Human Development, University of Toronto led a study that examined how the workplace is affected by an employee who is involved in domestic violence. She said not only does it result in lowered productivity, but a third of the men reported that they used workplace time and resources to continue to engage in emotionally abusive behavior. She explained how employers can offer assistance for employees with domestic violence issues.
