Good morning everyone. Today is Monday. First of all, I wish you have a happy Monday morning and also a great week ahead. Today's topic is 4 C's learned from 143 stories.
Actually, this article was published on August 25th. Actually, right now I think I have published over 200 stories in medium.com under various sub-publications. Alright, so once again the topic is 4 C's learn from 143 stories and the sub-topic is learning is fun. Ideally, I said unless I set clear intentions, I won't progress.
Here is how my intentions have shifted so far after writing 143 stories, 140 stories in a year. On August 21st, 2021, my first story was published. When I say story, medium.com is one of the very big publications. They call it story.
So sometimes I refer to as articles, sometimes I say story. So it's the same. In the first quarter, my intention and focus were on completion versus perfection. Hence, I self-published these stories.
In the second quarter, I read other people's stories, other writer's stories, and commented on it. And started publishing consistently. So the first one is completion versus perfection, the first C. The second C is I'm going to give, because commented is also that also starts with C, right?
So in the second quarter, I read and commented on other authors' stories and started publishing consistently. There are two C's there. In the third quarter, I connected with few publications and learned to format their requirements and got my stories published. So started with self-publication.
I read in an audio somewhere, be bold to practice in public and fail. It doesn't matter. People will make one of you. And it's okay, practice in public.
Today we have so much opportunity, especially with the technology, with AI and so many things going on. You can get over the same time. That's an old different story. But then you have opportunities.
So that's what I'm trying to say. So in the third quarter, I connected with a few publications and learned to format their requirements and got my stories published. In the fourth quarter, I did all the above. Show us the publication to write for and then started writing to their requirements, commenting everything.
So what were the four C's? I have to remind myself, I wrote this article myself. So the completion number one, number two is commenting on other stories. That means you are showing your engaging in conversation and you're reading.
It's just not reading and just forgetting about it. No, you're telling the other author, Hey, I'm reading, I'm listening and I would like to participate in your story by giving my comments, my opinions, my sincere comments. So the completion, commenting, then consistency. So if you don't have consistency, then you lose the momentum.
And the last one is connection. So these are the four C's. Now, my best story as per reader statistics, I've given the link. OK, remember, this is this was published in it's a short article.
