Four Four Premiere: Chris Liebing - Patterns [Nicole Moudaber Remix]

Today we premiere a remix from one of the biggest DJs in the scene Nicole Moudaber, for the legendary Chris Liebing, due out on UK imprint MUTE tomorrow [August 26th]. Today we welcome a premiere from Nicole Moudaber, as the world travelled international superstar takes time from her hectic touring schedule to step up for remixes duties for another legendary DJ and producer, Chris `Liebing. Chris Liebing is a well established DJ, producer and the driving force behind the labels CLR and Spinclub Recordings. His sound has continuously evolved during his career, but he has always remained true to his techno roots. Moudaber gives Liebing's original broken beat track a 10 minute makeover, offering her signature big room techno sound. The original track has a lot to play with, including the standout vocal which is set against an evolving atmospheric backdrop that ebbs and flows, bringing the listener along a journey. From the get go, Moudaber starts the track with a pacy kick and hat combo, interlacing the vocal as the track broadens its range to include a synthy melodic build up, before stripping it back to the core elements. She gives the punk-ish tones of the vocal lots of room to breath before projecting it back into the pacy number from the beginning. This could easily work for the start of a set or likewise, pitched up to work for a key dance floor moment.
