We premiere the title track, ‘Miwonowi’, a tribal-soaked house groove that lends inspiration from Chicago and his hometown of India. New Delhi-based Sanil Sudan aka FILM is the latest debutant on Hammer’s Remmah imprint. His ‘Miwonowi’ EP features three original tracks imbued with the restless & irresistible grooves of classic Boo Williams productions, overlaid with the same star-gazing cosmic energy that unites all Remmah releases. Complimenting the four original tracks is a remix from DART, of the Remmah extended family’s Dublin branch, which zeroes in on the baseline and adds a whole extra layer of extra bounce to the ounce. We premiere ‘Miwonowi’, a fusion of ancient and contemporary elements, combining the primal energy of tribal and indigenous with the power and grit of modern house and techno. Syncopated tribal grooves play off Detroit-licked chords and sweeping drones to devastating effect.
