We feature ‘Low End Behaviour’, a trembling bass-heavy techno weapon that leans cut-throat modular synth work and stomping percussive grooves. Cork native, Manchester based Kerrie returns to her Dark Machine Funk imprint with a four-track EP in her analogue techno style with industrial sounds and dystopian atmosphere. The latest release follow’s up two releases on James Ruskin‘s Blueprint label. Already a respected DJ who plays regularly across Europe and other parts of the world, she has played everywhere from Berghain in Berlin to the Freedom Medellín festival in Colombia. Kerrie has also been showcasing her art is a live capacity as she swaps the decks for hardware synthesisers and drum machines. We premiere ‘Low End Behaviour’ from her latest offering on Dark Machine Funk. The brooding techno tool see’s Kerrie go deep into her modular set-up, creating kaleidoscopic resonant leads, syncopated shuffles and jerking percussive hits. This teeth-grinding techno groove is made for murky basements.
