Four Four Premiere: Lars Huismann - Bittersweet [Mutual Rytm]

from Four Four Magazine · host Four Four Magazine

Lars Huismann returns to SHDW & Obscure’s Mutual Rytm imprint for the third and final part of his Sounds From The Past EP series. We premiere the effortlessly powerful ‘Bittersweet’ as Lars calls on mutated dub chords and galloping low-end for a no-nonsense techno weapon. Berlin-based Lars Huismann has been a key cog in the Mutual Rytm machine since the inception of the label in February of last year. Lars returns for his fifth offering on the label, and his third solo EP as he signs off on the final Sounds From The Past EP of the trilogy. Lars continues to push his sound through each release on Mutual Rytm, working closely with SHDW & Obscure Shape to achieve a forward-thinking yet vintage package of contemporary techno funk. Lars perfectly merges influences from the past with forward-thinking nuances of the future. Drawing on the early 2000 techno sound, he embellishes it with his own perspective, as evidenced by his earlier releases on the label. This latest six-track offering is another accomplished outing from this unique talent as he concludes the three-part series on the label in style. We premiere ‘Bittersweet’ a raging techno banger that is running at full speed from the get-go. Lars maximises a tight and rolling dub influenced to loop its fullest, perfectly conveying that less is more in tool-orientated techno. Jolting low-end drives this raging bull-style techno-thriller, while sharp percussion shifts keep the groove organic and fluent. Another high-class offering from Lars on Mutual Rytm and you wouldn’t expect any less from a producer that is truly at the top of his game. Solving for Change MOBIA Technology Innovations Solving for Change welcomes business and technology leaders to share stories of bold business transformation within complex organizations. In an era when technology and markets are changing around businesses, the key to staying competitive is to evolve in response to those changes.  MOBIA’s Mike Reeves and Marc LeBlanc investigate business transformation, deconstructing the challenges, ambitions, and market disruptions that drive companies to embark on transformation journeys, and exploring their unique approaches to achieving meaningful outcomes.  What sparks leaders to pursue business transformation? How do they overcome the challenges along the way? What are the keys to creating enduring change?  Through in-depth conversations with business and technology leaders, Mike and Marc answer these questions and explore how businesses evolve by pulling four key transformation levers: people, process, technology, and culture.
