“Four Miracles, Four Lessons” (Acts 9:31-43)

What we are reading today is transitional information. In a few chapters, we will follow, pretty exclusively, the life and ministry of Saul/Paul. But first, for a few chapters, we will focus on the region abroad and the impact of the Gospel. Luke, the author, is bringing us back to the subject of Peter’s work in preparation for a monumental shift in Peter’s life coming in chapter 10. Something happens in chapter 10 that shifts his whole perspective on the Gospel and what the kingdom of God looks like. And what happens in chapter 9 is what prepares Peter’s heart for what’s coming next. ACTS: What Makes Us Who We Are? In 2022 we began a verse-by-verse study through the New Testament Book of Acts. This book records for us the acts of the apostles after the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the formation of the first church. Going through the Book of Acts will help us identify what makes us who we are and helps us chart our course forward.
