On this Anniversary Celebration Sunday, we shared a fresh “now word” for UBC, capturing the heart of God’s mission for us today. Following this, Pastor Matt Garvin, our incoming Mission Director, gave a powerful message on the kingdom of God. He reminded us that we are not to adopt the patterns and principles of the world, but instead to live differently—and better—because of Christ. He also challenged us to consider the reality of the moment we are in, highlighting four temptations that churches often face and fail to respond to, unless they remain rooted in God’s kingdom.
