The Death of David and Bathsheba’s First Son  The hope of Heaven guarantees a reunion. 2. The Rape of Tamar Monogamy is God’s original and best design. We cannot pretend that our actions do not affect those around us.  When you engage in sin, it is easy to see the same sin in others, but hard to correct. 3. The Murder of Amnon  4. The Rebellion and Death of Absalom  Then Joab came to Absalom at his house and demanded, "Why did your servants set my field on fire?" —2 Samuel 14:31–33  So Joab told the king what Absalom had said. Then at last David summoned Absalom, who came and bowed low before the king, and the king kissed him. Our actions today lay the foundation upon which our children and our descendants will build their lives. The Promise: God does not just sweep life away; instead, He devises ways to bring us back when we have been separated from Him.
