The Song is a love poem which celebrates longing and sexual desire. Since its acceptance into the Hebrew Bible over two thousand years ago, the poem has been a source of controversy to Jews and Christians alike. Lift its veil, however, and you will find a lost paradise, one that affirms the goodness and beauty of creation, endorses the equality of the sexes, and even offers (if we look close enough) a tantalizing glimpse of God!
