Fran Brown in ACC Coach Tier | Syracuse Orangemen Football News

Fran Brown stays put in Tier Five — the “Up and Down” tier, aka the ACC Coach tier — alongside Jake Dickert, Tony Elliott, Mike Norvell, and Bill O’Brien. It’s baffling to see Dickert, who led Wake Forest to nine wins in his debut, ranked below Bob Chesney at UCLA. Up top, only Curt Cignetti and Kirby Smart dominate Tier One, while Mario Cristobal, James Franklin, Dabo Swinney, and Marcus Freeman anchor Tier Two as “Proven Winners.” Jeff Brohm is the lone ACC coach in Tier Three. The rest? Pure subjectivity — Manny Diaz, Pat Narduzzi, and Dave Doeren in Tier Four. Fan expectations versus on-field reality? That’s the real story — and Syracuse knows it all too well.
