South Africa's Environmental Affairs Minister, Edna Molewa, was given the highest French decoration this weekend at the French Residence in Pretoria.
French Minister for Ecological and Inclusive Transition Nicolas Hulot, awarded the medal in Pretoria on behalf of the French President. The National order was established by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1802 and is the highest decoration in France. Molewa received the award for amongst others her work to fight climate change.
