Francesca Serritella

My co-host Ryan Brown and I were very happy to welcome Francesca Serritella to our ‘Now a Major Motion Picture!’ podcast. Both of us have known Francesca for several years and have been delighted to watch her emergence as a first-rate novelist with ‘The Ghosts of Harvard’ in 2020 and the recently published ‘Full Bloom.’ Francesca talks about the challenges of promoting her first novel at the height of COVID when public events were impossible and savoring the full scale book tour she did for ‘Full Bloom.’ The new novel is a hard to describe mix of romance, suspense and a unique form of magical realism in which the gift of a custom made vial of perfume changes our heroine’s life in amazing ways. Francesca is a great guest to kick off our fall season - so smart and so witty. And with a terrific novel to talk about.
