Today, I have the pleasure of speaking with a very special guest, international spokesperson for personal transformation and weight loss, Frank Ferrante. Featured in two major documentaries including May I Be Frank? and Hungry For Change, Frank’s resume is extensive. From an illegal narcotics distributor, a cab driver, and a general contractor to an actor, recovered alcoholic junkie, and a vegan raw foodist, Frank has had quite the journey to get where he is now and today he shares some of the lessons he learned on his journey to physical and spiritual healing. After thirty years involved with drugs and alcohol, Frank finally reached a point where he could no longer live the way he was living, but he couldn’t see a way out. He surrendered himself to God and started a 12-step program. But even when he quit drugs and alcohol, he found problems with sex and overeating. Frank found that, even when he was sober, the underlying pain that caused him to seek drugs in the first place still remained. At 300 pounds, Frank had isolated himself from those he cared about because he didn’t care about himself. After stumbling in to Café Gratitude, a raw-food restaurant, he embarked on a life-changing journey of weight loss and transformation over 42 days. Again, Frank surrendered to God and signed a contract with the owners of the restaurant that he would commit to a raw food diet, daily affirmations, and weekly colonics. After just a week and a half, Frank felt a shift in himself. He turned his personal pain into personal power by stumbling into grace. What once seemed insurmountable was within his grasp because he had help. With help from others, he recognized that he was not alone and that it was not food or drugs that were the problem, but instead his relationship to himself and to food ad drugs that needed to change.Today, Frank works to help others realize their potential for change and works to cultivate humility within himself daily. He now helps others to realize that they are not incomplete and that they need only to nurture themselves to blossom into who they were meant to be. Achieving balance in all things is key to a more present life.If you would like to reach out to Frank, you can get in touch with him at [email protected] TO THE PODCAST  WATCH THE PODCAST   RESOURCESFood MattersMay I Be Frank?Hungry For ChangeKris Carr
