Frank Reich named Panthers head coach: Friday, Jan. 27

Frank Reich was named the sixth head coach in Carolina Panthers history Thursday, finally filling the vacancy opened by the firing of Matt Rhule midseason. Reich was chosen over interim Steve Wilks and Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore. Reich's hiring is a homecoming of sorts, as he was the team's first quarterback in 1995, and his brother is a longtime football coach at Wingate.
