Fraudster Pretended to Be NFL Star | Charleston News
from Charleston West Virginia News Today | 2 Min News | The Daily News Now!
A slick con artist named Daejon Love is facing federal charges for allegedly swindling over $1.3 million from more than 24 women across the Pacific Northwest and California by posing as a San Francisco 49ers player and real estate mogul. He teamed up with an 18-year-old, Taylor Chan, who faked being his financial advisor, to lure victims into fake investment schemes — complete with forged documents and social media facades. Victims were told they were in serious relationships and promised huge returns, some even taking out loans. When they ran out of cash or asked questions, Love vanished — keeping every penny. The duo was arrested in Boise after a nationwide hunt, and both are now in federal custody. If you know anything, the FBI wants your tip.
