Tracklist: https://wkdu.org/playlist/69462 Vinectomy (formerly Vinsent) is an artist who began as a vaporwave singer and songwriter in Detroit but has since evolved into a creator of ambient, ethereal, and experimental electronic music. Their early albums, A.S.E.I.D.A. (2018) and Zorya (2020), were deeply influenced by Eastern European and Soviet aesthetics, with production from SEVAG. Having started in Detroit’s vibrant techno scene, Vinectomy later found inspiration in queer underground spaces across North Macedonia and Kosovo. Collaborations with artists like Stefan Strange expanded their sound into more eclectic and genre-blending territory. In 2023, Vinectomy performed at Skopje Pride and venues like Club Epicentar and Bubble Pub, merging eurodance with queer history in exhilarating shows. 2024 took Vinectomy to NYC where they collaborated with BЯEE at The End. Now based in Philadelphia, they are exploring new frontiers in ambient and electronic music, focusing on ethereal soundscapes that push boundaries. Vinectomy is more than an artist—they’re a movement, challenging the patriarchy and creating transformative, politically-charged experiences one cauterization at a time.
