In the fall of 2022, she went to the doctor with abdominal pain. 5 doctors, 1 sonogram, 2 CT scans, 1 petscan, and 1 biopsy later—on December 8, 2022, she got the call no one wants to get, while sitting in her office at school. It was Cancer. Stage 3, Peripheral T-Cell Lymphoma, a very rare form of blood cancer. After months of treatment and a Autologous Stem Cell Transplant, she is currently in remission.
