Fred Coffey Jr

from Mountain Murders Hosted by Dead Air

This week Mountain Murders brings to you the serial pedophile and child murderer, Fred Coffey Jr. A former Navy veteran, Fred was a convicted sexual predator who seemingly preyed on children everywhere he lived. His story begins in 1975 when he was a suspect in the death of a Maryland girl then later connected to multiple abductions and child murders in North Carolina and later Virginia. It was not until 1986, law enforcement was finally able to obtain enough evidence to charge Fred in one of several murder cases. Listen as Mountain Murders tells you about a little known monster who lurked in the Mid-Atlantic region for over a decade. Ten years later, Tiffani Horn’s mother, 8-year-old brother, and a close family friend were found murdered. The exhaustive investigation involved multi-state surveillance and wiretaps, but it wasn’t until detectives stumbled upon Hit Man that they suddenly had what they called a blueprint for the murders.
