Fred Smith at the Readers' Festival

The Kiama Readers' Festival was launched at Kiama Library by Fred Smith, the 'singing diplomat' and well-known raconteur who  kept the audience captivated with his stories, songs and footage.  In his other life Fred is a diplomat and his latest book  The Sparrows of Kabul, is his personal account of Australia’s mission to evacuate visa and passport holders from Kabul International Airport in 2021.  KCR: live streaming at kcr.org.au or via the Kiama Community Radio App. Contact us: [email protected]
