FredCo Parks: Walking in a Winter Wonderland

Our conversation today with Jeremy Sanders (Marketing Manager) and Ashley Ferguson (Program Supervisor) from Frederick County Parks & Recreation gave details for Walking in a Winter Wonderland and several other events like their Holiday Scavenger Hunt Fun Run, upcoming trips, and the 2024 Someone Special Dance Walking in a Winter Wonderland opened on Friday, November 24, 2023, and will conclude Monday, January 1, 2024.  The last entry is at 9pm with lights off promptly at 9:30pm. The light show features fantastic displays and music along the 0.5 mile paved path at Clearbrook Park. Highlights include hundreds of thousands of lights, nightly appearances by Santa and Mrs. Claus, and a wonderful computer-controlled display coordinated with music, and special events sprinkled in on various nights. The display will be closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve.  Regular Admission:Ages 0-2: Free Ages 3+: $7.00 plus processing ($10.00 at the gate - CREDIT CARD ONLY) Tickets can be purchased online same day until 5pm, or at the gate for $10.00. The VIP Lodge at Walking in a Winter Wonderland is a great way for businesses, groups, or families to celebrate at the areas premier holiday event! $425 – VIP Lodge Package includes 2 hour enclosed heated tent rental between 5pm - 7:30pm, 50 event tickets, and early access into the event prior to the general public.
