Frederick County Parks/Rec Fall Events

Our conversation today with Tony Baker from Frederick County Parks & Recreation gave us all the details for several upcoming events, races, trips, and Winter Wonderland. Tony told us about: Halloween Happenings at Clear Brook Park on October 28/29, 2022; Battlefield Half Marathon and Relays happening on November 5, 2022; Thanksgiving Day 5K happening on November 24, 2022, at Sherando High School/Park. We also talked about the bus trip they offer in December for a day of shopping in New York City, plus we learned a few of the details for Winter Wonderland which will open at Clear Brook Park on November 25, 2022. As we wrapped up our conversation we talked about youth basketball leagues, new pickleball courts, a new sand volleyball court, and new Bermuda grass on the soccer fields at Sherando.
